Delete your Hang Social account

Hang Social is developed by Nilsen Lab.

You can request deletion even if you no longer have Hang installed.

Request deletion by email

Email lukas@nilsenlab.com with the subject Delete my Hang account.

Send the request from the email address used for Hang and include your username if you know it. Do not send your password.

We may ask you to verify that the account belongs to you before deleting it.

Delete in the app

Open the Profile tab, scroll to Danger Zone, and tap Delete Account.

What is deleted

Deletion permanently removes your sign-in account, profile, profile photo, username, contact details, status, friends, friend requests, blocks, notification settings, groups and events you created, and your RSVPs and comments on other events.

We keep a deletion record with your account ID and deletion dates so the deleted account cannot be used again. Restricted safety reports involving your account are kept for a 90-day retention period, then removed by a daily cleanup job. They may be held longer for an active investigation or a legal obligation. See the privacy policy for how Hang handles data.

Account deletion cannot be undone.
